SEEKING DONATIONS

 365 Austin Things Winter Strom Relief

365 Things Austin teamed up with A Taste of Koko and MYLK (Make Your Legacy Known) Collection GoFunded Me. They are working with local restaurants to provide hot meals to those who are without power and seeking meals and are seeking donations to help make this happen. ALL DONATIONS will go directly to the local Austin restaurants that are safely open and operating to provide meals to our community. This fund also offers relief for local restaurants that have experienced a devastating blow by losing a would be high-volume Valentine's weekend due to this storm.

Austin Area Urban League - emergency donation drive #LoveThyNeighborTX campaign

To help house, feed and care for those in need of resources or experiencing homeless during the unprecedented weather conditions.

Austin Pets Alive

Current list of supplies they need for their animals up on their blog.

Austin Mutual Aid

They are now accepting donations anytime between 8AM-10PM you can find more information on their donation drive via their instagram. If you cannot safely drive to their donation center, fill out the donation form in their bio on instagram and they will coordinate a driver to pick up your items. Austin Mutual Aid was formed by UT Austin students in March 2020, they are a digital community center building solidarity and practicing collective care to support those impacted by COVID-19 and now, those on the frontline of BLM protests. They connect mutual aid resources to folks in need, amplify organizing efforts in action, and share uplifting content from their communities! Their current projects include: our emergency fund, mac chats (political education workshops/webinars), and resource compilation.

Black Leaders Collective Fund

The Black Leaders Collective, DAWA Fund, The Austin Area Urban League, 10,000 Fearless First Responders, Survive to Thrive, Austin Justice Coalition, and Six Square have formed a coordinated effort to provide critical emergency support to Black community members severely impacted by recent winter storms. They are also advocating for changes to policy and government systems to lessen the severity of these types of events in the future. They are looking for donate 16,800 meals at $8 per meal, and will need to raise $134,400. 

DAWA Heals

DAWA is a safety net for people of color who are experiencing short term life crisis.  More specifically, people of color who are: musicians, artists, social workers, teachers, healing practitioners, and service industry workers. These are the people who GIVE to others/serve day in and day out for a living, and are often at the highest risk for mental health crisis. Currently providing emergency relief funding for food, shelter, and transportation during this week of cold. Feed The Medics/Fire Stations/Hospital Break Rooms

All funds will go towards purchase food and water for EMS/Fire Stations and Hospital break rooms for those first responders and hospitality staff. Due to the overwhelming support so far the goal has been moved to help locate and provide additional food and water to more hospitals and wherever it is needed most in the community.

Free Lunch

Free Lunch has been delivering meals to the Esperanza Community, the state-created campsite off of U.S. 183 near Montopolis Drive, are continuing their mission during Austin's frigid weather. Instead of setting the food out at one centralized area in the early evening, the team members will prepare soup and things that they can place in containers and drive around the camp and distribute more direc

Friday Friday ATX 

February 18th & February 19th - They are accepting donations of water, formula and other ESSENTIALS (formula, diapers). They are looking to buy food from local, Eastside restaurants. If you want to help sponsor or a restaurant and want to provide food contact them directly via dm on their instagram. If you want to donate to resource distribution efforts you can send donations to venmo: @fridafridayatx - for transparency they screenshot and put their current balance on their instagram and will share a donation & distribution update over the next few days. Funds donated here will be used to acquire resources & food to distribute over the next two days. Frida Friday ATX Website - they are posting info on social media for the newest updates.

Front Steps - Annual Blanket Drive

Front Steps is accepting blankets at their downtown location, or you can order the blanket online and have it shipped directly to the shelter.

WATER LINKS Update 2.19.21

MLK bakery and brewery Batch is offering safe water for people who bring their own containers from noon to 6 p.m., plus there’s beer to go.

Downtown brewery Central District Brewing is offering refillable water to people who bring their own containers. Hours TBD.

North Burnet brewery Circle Brewing Company is offering refillable water from noon to 4:30 p.m., while also offering outlets for charging and selling beer to go.

North Burnet brewery Hopsquad Brewing Co. is offering refillable water to people who bring their own containers from noon to 5 p.m. There’s a limit of five gallons per group. Plus there’s beer to go and onsite truck Tsuke Honten is offering free meals to people in need.

East Austin brewery Lazarus Brewing Co. was offering water to people who bring refillable containers from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., plus there’s food and drinks within those hours.

McKinney brewery Meanwhile Beer is offering drinkable water at the brewery starting at 10 a.m. to people who bring their own containers. There’s a limit of 10 gallons for each household group.

All locations of grocery chain Natural Grocers is offering free filtered water to people who bring their own containers, available through Tuesday, February 23. The Austin locations are found on in Arbor Walk, Cedar Park, Georgetown, and on North Lamar,

Vegan meal delivery service Prep to Your Door is offering free drinkable water to people who bring their own containers to 507 Calles Street, Suite 100 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Mueller vegan deli Rebel Cheese is offering boiled water to people who bring their own containers from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m, while also selling food and drinks.

Georgia-based bottled water company Simply Rainwater opened a bunch of bottled water giveaway statins in the city: South Congress cafe the Meteor from 10 a.m. to noon, and then East Austin restaurant Gabriela’s from 1 to 2:30 p.m.

South Austin brewery St. Elmo will open with refillable water for those who bring their own containers, plus it’s offering to-go beer, wine, and cider, from noon to 5 p.m.

Skyview brewpub the Brewtorium is opening again a warming and charging center from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. while offering refillable water to people who bring their own containers. Plus there’s food and drink available for ordering.

Cedar Park brewery Whitestone is offering refillable water to people who bring their own containers from noon to 7 p.m

AUSTIN DISASTER RELIEF NETWORK

The Austin Disaster Relief Network (ADRN) is working the City of Austin/Travis County to open Church Shelters throughout the Greater Austin area to provide close-in-proximity shelters for families and individuals in need. We understand that families have no electricity and/or experienced water pipes busting, creating a wet environment. We have asked Churches to provide: safe, clean, warm shelter space.
